About

How It Works

Different platforms need different image sizes. A WhatsApp profile picture is different from a LinkedIn banner. A website thumbnail is different from a print photo. Instead of guessing, just enter the exact size the platform needs.

Resizing vs compressing: Resizing changes the physical dimensions (width × height in pixels). Compressing reduces file size. If you need both — a smaller image that is also a smaller file — resize first, then compress.

Keep aspect ratio on: Unless you specifically need a non-standard shape, always keep "maintain aspect ratio" on. Otherwise your image may look stretched or squished.

Use Cases

Who Uses This?

Social Media Profile & Cover Photos

Resize photos to the exact dimensions required by Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter — no cropping accidents.

Website & Blog Images

Large photos slow down websites. Resize to the display size before uploading to your site or blog.

WhatsApp & Telegram Stickers

Stickers need to be a specific size. Resize your image to fit the required dimensions.

Printing at Specific Sizes

Need a 4×6 inch print at 300 DPI? Calculate the pixel size and resize before sending to the printer.

Features

What You Can Do

Set Exact Pixel Dimensions

Enter a specific width and height in pixels — useful when a platform requires an exact size, like 800×600 or 1080×1080.

Resize by Percentage

Scale down to 50% or 25% of the original — useful when you want to reduce file size while keeping proportions.

Keep Aspect Ratio

Lock the proportions so the image doesn't get stretched or squished when you change one dimension.

Works With All Image Types

JPG, PNG, and WebP all supported. Download as the same format or switch between them.

Great for Social Media

Resize photos to the exact dimensions needed for profile pictures, cover photos, or post images.

Private & Instant

Your image is resized in seconds and deleted after download. No storage, no account needed.

Tips

Helpful Tips

  • For social media, look up the recommended image size for that platform before resizing — they all have different requirements.
  • Enable "maintain aspect ratio" to avoid stretching. Disable it only when you need an exact non-proportional size.
  • After resizing to a much smaller size, open the image to make sure it still looks clear enough for your use.
  • If you also need to reduce file size, use our Compress Image tool after resizing.

Your Files Are Safe & Private

Files are transferred over secure TLS encryption and wiped automatically from server memory after processing. We never inspect, store, or share your documents.

FAQ

Common Questions

Will resizing reduce the file size?

Yes, usually. Smaller pixel dimensions generally mean a smaller file size — but for bigger reductions, use our Compress Image tool.

Can I resize without losing quality?

Making an image smaller (downscaling) is fine and looks good. Making it much larger (upscaling) can make it blurry — the original image simply doesn't have the extra detail.

What happens if I enter only width or only height?

If aspect ratio lock is on, the other dimension is calculated automatically so the image stays proportional.

Can I resize PNG images with transparent backgrounds?

Yes. PNG transparency is preserved after resizing.
