1. Description of Service

PDFEditor4U provides over 20 browser-based document utilities including PDF editing, merging, compression, page organization, format conversions (PDF to Word, Excel, and Images), image resizing in KB, AI background removal, and ID card layout printing.

All tools are provided completely free of charge. No software downloads, credit cards, or compulsory account registrations are required for general use.

2. Document Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain 100% full ownership and intellectual property rights over all files you upload to PDFEditor4U.

We do not claim any copyright, ownership, or license over your documents, images, signatures, or personal data. By submitting a document, you grant us only the temporary, technical permission necessary to execute your requested task (e.g. compressing, converting, or rearranging pages) and return the output file to you.

3. Automated File Deletion & Data Security

We prioritize user privacy and file confidentiality:

  • Client-side utilities process files entirely inside your device's browser memory without transmitting data to our servers.
  • When a complex task requires server processing, data is transferred through encrypted TLS tunnels to temporary isolated worker environments.
  • All uploaded files and generated outputs are permanently and irreversibly purged from our servers within 24 hours (and often within one hour).
  • Our staff and automated systems do not read, inspect, or monetize the contents of your files.

4. Permitted & Acceptable Use

You may use PDFEditor4U for personal, educational, non-profit, or commercial document processing purposes. However, you agree not to:

  • Upload documents containing illegal material, malware, viruses, or child sexual exploitation material (CSAM).
  • Attempt to bypass site security, perform denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, or reverse-engineer backend APIs.
  • Deploy automated bots, scrapers, or high-volume scripts that disrupt service availability for regular users.
  • Upload documents or media that infringe upon third-party copyrights or trademark rights without authorization.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Backup Responsibility

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While our engineering team works diligently to ensure accurate layout preservation and high conversion fidelity, PDF standards and font embeddings vary widely.

Important recommendation: Always maintain local backup copies of your original files before running compression, page deletion, or format conversions. We are not liable for any data loss, formatting discrepancies, or portal submission issues arising from processed documents.

6. Advertising & Third-Party Services

To keep all tools free for everyone without subscription paywalls, PDFEditor4U displays advertising served by Google AdSense and reputable ad networks. We do not endorse the specific third-party products advertised, and your interactions with external advertisers are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

7. Modifications & Updates

We reserve the right to improve, update, or discontinue tools at any time. Any revisions to these Terms will be posted directly to this page with an updated timestamp. Continued use of PDFEditor4U following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
